The Skeletonised Sandblasted Titanium by Speake Marin reveals a bold interpretation of contemporary haute horlogerie, where architectural design meets exceptional Swiss craftsmanship.

The new generation Piccadilly case, in Grade 5 titanium, carries this raw expression with quiet strength. Sapphire crystals, front and back, treated with anti-reflective coating, frame a dial defined by texture rather than shine.

Look closer. The sandblasted, skeletonised dial reveals Speake-Marin's engraved values on the visible barrel, a quiet manifesto sitting in plain sight at the heart of the movement. The small seconds counter at 1:30, applied in three dimensions, asserts its presence with architectural confidence, while polished heart-shaped hands, treated in black PVD, sweep across the dial with the Maison's unmistakable signature.

At the heart of the watch, the in-house SMA01 micro-rotor calibre unveils the beauty of fine watchmaking mechanics through a sophisticated multi-layered architecture. Every surface microblasted by hand, grain by grain, until shine gives way to something quieter, and infinitely more refined.

The Signature of 1:30

The in-house SMA01 calibre is a COSC-certified self-winding movement equipped with a micro-rotor and designed for optimal slimness and performance. Fully integrated within the bridges, the winding mass ensures efficiency while preserving a refined and balanced architecture.

Distinctive in its design, the movement features a small seconds display positioned at 1:30, achieved through a sophisticated module that eliminates the need for a surrounding ring. This unique layout creates a dynamic visual equilibrium between the barrel, oscillating mass and small seconds, forming a subtle triangular composition that defines Speake Marin’s openworked aesthetic language.

Operating at 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), the SMA01 calibre delivers a 52-hour power reserve and is composed of 171 components and 33 jewels. Measuring 30.00 mm in diameter and 5.00 mm in height, it is entirely assembled and adjusted by hand, reflecting the Maison’s commitment to precision, balance and contemporary haute horlogerie.
