The iconic "La City" case in 904L stainless steel achieves something remarkable, a thickness of just 6.30 mm for a 40.30 mm diameter, a proportion that speaks of extraordinary engineering restraint. Every edge of the polished bezel, every satin-finished surface, carries the deliberate signature of a Maison that understands thinness as the ultimate expression of mastery.

Look closer. Inside, the in-house SMA07 calibre unfolds across just 3.25 mm of movement thickness, a feat of miniaturised architecture housing 182 hand-finished components. The rhodium-plated bridges, bevelled and vertically satin-finished, are works of applied precision. The tungsten micro-rotor, bearing the Maison's exclusive embossed motif, oscillates at 36,000 vibrations per hour with a stillness that belies its complexity.

The Calibre SMA07 is Speake Marin’s first manufacture ultra-thin automatic skeleton movement. Developed and produced in-house, this sophisticated calibre stands out for its exceptional slenderness. Measuring just 3.25 mm in height for a diameter of 35.75 mm, it combines refined proportions with remarkable mechanical complexity. Its openworked construction, composed of 182 meticulously engineered components and 27 jewels, showcases the movement’s intricate architecture while preserving optimal rigidity and reliability.

At its heart beats a high-frequency regulating organ oscillating at 36,000 vibrations per hour (5 Hz). This elevated frequency enhances rate stability and chronometric performance, delivering a precision of ±5 seconds per day. Despite its ultra-thin profile, the SMA07 offers a generous 52-hour power reserve through its automatic winding system, reflecting the calibre’s efficient energy management.

Displaying the hours, minutes and small seconds, the SMA07 is distinguished by its meticulously skeletonised design, where every bridge and component has been conceived to maximise transparency, lightness and visual depth.
